Territorial Disclaimer

For those clients outside the United Kingdom, please ensure that you are not in breach of any interstate regulations and laws that may exist, which in some cases may prevent you from consulting a therapist outside your state and therefore outside your country. Although it might seem obvious that you, as the client, should have freedom of choice to consult whoever you please – wherever you please, debate continues as to whether legal restrictions should apply.

In case of doubt, you are reminded that, should you wish to go ahead through The Giles Practice, I am bound by a professional, ethical code of conduct of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy and the National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists and therefore UK legal jurisdiction will apply. Regrettably, I cannot accept legal responsibility for any breaches of local regulations and laws in place within your state or country.

Skype, Zoom & WhatsApp

The Giles Practice is neither sponsored by, affiliated with, endorsed by or otherwise economically linked to Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp. Written or verbal references to Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp on this website should not be construed as being authorised by, or represent the views or opinions of, Skype, Zoom or WhatsApp and merely provides users with the audio-visual technology to enable users of this site to benefit from online therapy.

Professional Indemnity

All those engaged in providing counselling or psychotherapy services should be indemnified by professional indemnity insurance provided by a regulated insurance provider. A policy indemnifying The Giles Practice by Towergate Professional Risks is available for inspection and is limited to United Kingdom legal jurisdiction only.
